About the role

The TAC works closely with the Victorian Government and key stakeholders to help reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured on Victorian roads.

This requires the TAC Community and Stakeholder Engagement team to engage and work with a broad spectrum of the Victorian community including other Victorian Government agencies, Local Governments, corporate and community organisations and advocacy groups.

You will have the opportunity to lead a high performing, engaged and collaborative team, and influence positive change within the Victorian community, to help people get around safely.

Key duties:
Work with key stakeholders to educate, inform and inspire the community to improve road safety outcomes in their local area
Proactively seek out opportunities to improve and align community and stakeholder engagement relationships and activities being undertaken by the TAC
Ensure that TAC funded projects and initiatives are appropriately implemented, managed monitored and
Support the development and implementation of new and existing TAC engagement programs and projects
Provide day-to-day support to and leadership to the Community and Stakeholder Engagement team

About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and attributes:

Preferably hold a tertiary qualification in Leadership/Management, Health Promotion or Communications
Demonstrated people leadership and management experience
Experience developing and executing strategic plans for large scale programs and/or projects
Demonstrated ability to handle matters with resilience and confidence
Ability to navigate through and solve complex situations and problems to achieve best outcomes
Demonstrated experience in building, leveraging, and influencing relationships with key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
Knowledge of, or experience applying IAP2 engagement principles and methodologies is highly desirable
