JOB DESCRIPTION

Gateways is excited to announce, we are accepting applications for a passionate NDIA Claims Officer to join our growing organisation.

This is a fulltime position.

The NDIA Claims Officer is responsible for claiming payment from the NDIS for services provided to participants in the program area in accordance with the service agreements in place. Working closely with the NDIA Claims Coordinator, the Claims Officer will ensure efficient and ethical practice.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a passionate and supportive team working to support people with a disability.

Evidence of your current NDIS Screening Check (mandatory from 1st Feb 2021)

Employment is dependent upon evidence of your application for the NDIS Screening Check (mandatory from 1st Feb 2021).

You will be required to apply for an NDIS Worker Screening Check. This check includes a national criminal records check, and will cost you $119.40. The check is valid for 5 years.

Successful applicants will be required to supply a current Working with Children check for an employee, a current Level 2 first aid qualification and CPR update. If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived. Employment cannot commence until this check is received and assessed.

Shortlisted applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’ prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
