  • Located in an amazing recently built hospital in Waurn Ponds, Geelong

The Role
In this full-time permanent Grade 2 Physiotherapist role, you will provide care to our acute patients. Epworth Geelong has recently opened another acute ward in response to hospital growth. This physiotherapy role is primarily located in the intensive care, high dependency care and general medical wards, however may assist in other acute or rehabilitation areas as required. Epworth Geelong provides care to a range of patient cohorts including orthopaedics, neurosurgery, pain management, maternity, neurology, cardiorespiratory, oncology and medical/reconditioning. You will report to the Deputy Physiotherapy Manager.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing individually tailored physiotherapy care
  • Integrating allied health into the clinical care team in the inpatient wards
  • Provision of supervision of junior staff to support growth and learning
  • Collaborating with other health clinicians to develop and grow services based on best practice

To be successful in the role…
You will have a caring nature alongside relevant physiotherapy experience and sound clinical reasoning in ICU, HDU and/or cardiorespiratory areas.

You will have:

  • Current Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA (essential)
  • A flexible mindset to meet the many clinical needs of patients
  • Be naturally proactive and responsive to changing patient profiles and service demands
  • An ability to participate in rotating rosters, including some weekend shifts
