The Opportunity

The Change Manager will join the Delivery and Change branch, committed to building a change culture by applying effective and sustainable change management approaches. The current focus areas are, designing and implementing change management activities, effective introduction of new processes and assessing the impacts of change on staff, partners, participants and other stakeholders.

The Change Manager is required to join the team based in Geelong. This is a 12 month assignment and the daily rate for this role is $520 per day plus Super.

As this role is within the Federal Government, applications are required to hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

The Change Manager will: 

  • Have the ability to influence and advise business senior leaders and project sponsors on how to effectively implement change
  • Partner with the business areas to ensure that change readiness assessments are completed and areas of resistance are identified with mitigating activities in place
  • Build trust and rapport with stakeholders
  • Develop change capability through coaching and provide support to sponsors and impacted stakeholders
  • Develop, implement and evaluate change management plans and schedules in accordance with the change management framework
  • Provide expert advice on the development of business impact assessments and change management plans that align with the framework
  • Identify, assess and report possible change risks or issues as well as recommending treatment strategies
  • Prepare written briefings and advice to senior leaders and governance bodies on planned change roll-outs
  • Apply project management methodologies to meet deadlines and produce high quality outcomes
  • Track and evaluate change management activities and propose recommendations for continuous improvements

About you:

To be considered for this role candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated change management and project management experience, coupled with relevant qualifications
  • Demonstrated success delivering against key performance indicators and delivering results within agreed timeframes Demonstrated success in building momentum for delivery and change activity
  • Ability to manage service delivery performance
  • High level of competency in designing and consistently applying assessment tools to identify and monitor change activities
  • Competency with IT Systems (Including MS Office – Excel, Project and Visual Design Tools)
  • Ability to work with a multi disciplinary team, including adapting quickly to a changing environment
  • Supervision / Leadership / Coaching experience
