Digital Media Advisor

About the role

Due to leave coverage, we are looking to fill a fixed term position until August 2021.

The Digital Media Advisor is responsible for email marketing, event listing and administration as well as general digital campaign support. This includes being responsible for supporting the marketing team with digital marketing activities as well as compiling and administering our eDM and events listing creation program. From time to time the role will also include some support for WorkSafe’s social media team.

Your daily duties include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the compilation, creation and sending of email newsletters using the Swift Digital and/or Salesforce platform.
  • Collaborating with WorkSafe marketing and communications staff to create and optimise eDM campaigns, including regular stakeholder reporting and analytics.
  • Developing digital marketing campaigns in collaborations with the Brand and Digital, broader Social Marketing and Communications teams as well as a range of other internal stakeholders and external partners such as creative and media agencies.
  • Administering event management platforms such as Eventbrite by creating event listings and reporting back to internal stakeholders.
  • Optimising eDM campaign performance including set up and operation of Google Analytics Tracking Codes / tags and / or other analytics reporting to a range of internal stakeholders, including performance benchmarking, target setting and reporting insights back into the business.

About you

You will have a demonstrated understanding and experience in digital media, Adwords and digital trends. Your written and verbal communication skills are highly developed and you are self-motivated with the capability to meet strict timelines/deadlines. Your interpersonal skills are well practised and you have the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders confidently.

More specifically you will have:

  • Demonstrated statistical, numerical and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated cost management skills.
  • Demonstrated intermediate/Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe CS with some proficiency / interest in HTML / CSS / Java Script.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and resolve issues.
  • Experience in managing external supplier contracts and relationships.
  • Knowledge of and a curiosity towards current and emerging technologies.
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to identify insights and determine strategies based on data.


A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Digital Media and Communications is desirable but not required.
