A fantastic opportunity to work in an amazing park located on the iconic Great Ocean Road as a Maintenance Manager. BIG4 Wye River Holiday Park is looking for an experienced Maintenance manager who is keen to work with the owner/managers to ensure their park continues to offer the best in service and experience to it guests.

BIG4 Wye River Holiday Park has an amazing natural setting, sitting in a valley surrounded by Otway national park, river side campsites, high quality accommodation and located directly opposite the beach. Many activities and facilities for children and families, including jumping pillow, go karts, walking and riding trails, plus an array of seasonal shows and events. Wildlife is abundant.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will possess outstanding skills and experience in all aspects of maintenance and team management and will be able to professionally apply these skills in a busy customer focused environment. Evidence of previous high-level customer service experience and Team leadership is required. Experience with purification and chlorination systems is essential, as well as the management of wastewater treatment facilities.

It is important that you are proactive in training and supervising grounds and maintenance staff. Your responsibility for training also extends to providing staff with inductions on Safe operating Procedures of Equipment. You will be expected to have experience in WHSMS’ s.

Having the ability to thoughtfully plan projects and delegate tasks, taking into consideration guests onsite and the seasons will be highly regarded. You will also be responsible for communicating with management, reception and the house keeping team for the purpose of organising maintenance. tasks.
You must be able to work without supervision and make common sense decisions by yourself but also be able to take and carry out direction from the park owner/managers. The role will encompass all aspects of running the maintenance department of a holiday park, including directing staff and managing contractors.

The successful applicants will work alongside experienced owner/managers, giving you the perfect opportunity to learn more about holiday parks from the best in the industry. Due to the high standard of this park and its size, it is imperative that applicants have at least one year of previous holiday park experience in a similar role. People without specific holiday park experience will not be considered for this role.

A two-bedroom Unit which is shared accommodation with other employees is available at a set weekly cost (which includes utilities). No pets are allowed. Annual Salary is $60,000 - $70,000/annum before rent. You are also required to be on-call up to an average of 2 nights per week.
