Home Based Cancer Care Project Officer
Temporary Part time 16 hours per week

05/04/2021 to 04/07/2021

Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a Project Worker to join our busy Cancer Care Team.

This is the opportunity to develop a model of care that will improve access to care at, or closer to home for our patients.

The successful applicant will have;

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement quality improvement initiatives, managing projects, and leading change within a complex environment.
  • Experience with leading, facilitating, and sustaining service improvement in clinical settings using proven methodologies
  • Clear vision, strong leadership, innovative thinking and a commitment to improving the way services are delivered for cancer patients
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people
  • A compassionate and respectful approach to effective liaison and coordination of stakeholder relationships
  • Practical experience of process mapping and the use of the Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) cycle
  • Proven ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and possess self motivation

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Victorian Police Check and complete a Statutory Declaration as per the Aged Care Principles prior to commencement of employment. Some positions will also require a WWC Check.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Post graduate qualification in Project Management or similar, or working towards
Desirable: Demonstrated ability to effectively implement quality improvement initiatives, managing projects and leading change within a complex environment
Essential: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people
Essential: A compassionate and respectful approach to effective liaison and coordination of stakeholder (internal & external) relationships
Essential: Well-developed knowledge of current clinical best practice, preferably in relation to cancer care and/or home based care services
Essential: Practical experience of process mapping and the use of the Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) cycle
Essential: Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to prioritise and deliver project outcomes within specified timeframes and audience
