About the facility

The Newcomb Primary Care team is situated within the local Community Health Centre and offers a range of services to the local community. The Community Health Centre also provides other services to the community these being Dental, Mental Health, Community Nursing, Renal Dialysis and Carelink. Many programs internal and external to Barwon health visit and collaborate with our team to provide holistic and life changing experiences for our clients

About the role

This a great opportunity to join an experienced multidisciplinary team to provide excellent dietetic services to our community. The successful applicant will be driven to provide collaborative, client centred care to achieve client goals in a range of mediums including face to face and telehealth. The role also requires the successful applicant to contribute to the development of high quality community based services and assist in meeting the key performance indicators. Clinicians will be supported by Senior Clinicians and Primary Care Coordinator.

Essential: A qualification in Dietetics as defined by the Medical Scientist Award (HASUA 4)
Essential: Accredited Practicing Dietitian with Dietitians Association of Australia
Essential: A current Victorian driver's Licence or equivalent
Essential: Experience across a range of Dietetics clinical settings
Essential: Ability to work collaboratively with consumers and service providers
Essential: Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and contributes to a positive team environment
Essential: Ability to manage a demanding work load and prioritise accordingly
Essential: Ability to differentiate, accept and exercise appropriate mechanisms of internal and external communication and accountability
Desirable: Having completed a Nutrition & Dietitian Paediatric Training Course
Desirable: A minimum of 4 years clinical experience
Desirable: Previous experience in supervising dietetic students and/or Grade 1 Dietitians
Desirable: Previous experience with group education of clients.
