Senior Provider Communications Officer / 12 month contract / $51.50 p/h + super / flexible work environment

Based in Geelong for over 10 years, Hays Recruitment are the only local preferred supplier choice to Federal, State and Local Government organisations as well as leading employers across Geelong, Ballarat, and Western Victoria.

Working with a Federal Government agency with its National Headquarters in Geelong, we are currently looking to appoint a Senior Provider Communications Officer for a 12 month contract, paying $51.50 p/h + super.

Your new role
The role of Senior Provider Communications Officer sits in the Provider and Market Communications team in the Communications and Community Engagement Division. This role supports the work of the Provider and Market Development Division.
You will be:

  • Communication planning, development and management across various projects and channels including online resources, newsletters, website and intranet – a large focus of this role is translating complex subject matter into easily understood and informative content.
  • Support the development of a range of effective internal and external communications collateral including but not limited to: news articles, presentations and talking points, FAQs, key messages, contact centre scripts and information sheets.
  • Performance reporting and analysis including follow up improvement strategies and implementation.
  • Lead communication projects that simplify and communicate complex information to improve provider understanding and experience of the NDIS and increase stakeholder confidence in the Scheme.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in these roles, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Tertiary qualifications in public affairs, media or marketing, journalism, communications or public relations or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the preparation and implementation of strategic communication plans
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to build and sustain effective relationships with colleagues, senior managers and a wide range of stakeholders.
